Lovely and Charming Home, Wonderful Hosts
Ophelia and David greeted us after a long day of biking, offering a garage space to stow our bikes. The bed was so comfortable! Our private bathroom had a beautiful pedestal sink and luscious hot water in the shower. The breakfast was amazing-- a fresh spinach and cheese omelet, an assortment of fresh fruits, scones. The Tipperary neighborhood here is so cool. Last night we walked to Coleman's, an Irish restaurant established in the 1930's. Elegant, historically rich, and fun! Thanks to Ophelia for the suggestion.
- Jeannine RLeMoyne Class Reunion
Four senior couples attending their LeMoyne reunion, Class 1975, stayed 2 nights at Ophelia’s Garden Inn. We enjoyed Ophelia’s history of the home and demonstrations of many wonderful antique features. There are numerous vintage pieces in all the rooms. Everything was clean, and Ophelia and her husband take great pride in the Inn and the lovely landscaping. Breakfast was homemade with savory egg dishes served with English muffins and fruit and small scones. The coffee was delicious, and there was a variety of teas for out tea drinkers.
Ophelia is warm and works hard to please her guests. We all felt we had made a new friend!
- Elizabeth RComfort after a hot day of biking
Our group of 5 was so happy to arrive at Ophelia’s after a day of biking the Erie Canal. Ophelia and David are gracious hosts with an exquisite house and grounds. They were helpful in recommending restaurants and made a delicious healthy breakfast for us! I would definitely return!
- Carrie M.Glorious Victorian Stay
My four friends and I experienced the perfect (and indulgent) respite after a long, hot day biking the Erie Canal. Annie and David’s home was a true treasure of unique antiques, gardens and hospitality; I could easily stay there for a week and still
Be amazed at every turn! Excellent stay with a welcoming and fantastic homemade breakfast served on the back patio!
- Lori N.Charming Inn in Syracuse
After searching long and hard for a place in Syracuse that was not a corporate hotel, but a place with charm and warmth, we stumbled on this wonderful treasure. Located a ways from downtown, it's nestled in a grove of trees and is just steps from a lovely park that's perfect for a morning walk. Ophelia, the owner, could not have gone more out of her way to make our stay special. She and her husband served us a lovely breakfast, made to order, the next morning. Our room was big, well appointed, and had a terrific en suite bathroom. The only downside, which wasn't really, was that it was a bit of a trek to a decent restaurant downtown. But that wouldn't prevent me from staying there again if we ever get back to Syracuse. Highly recommended.
- Tom K.Simply LOVE It!
This is our second time visiting. We LOVE Annie and David, the canopy room, the hospitality. EVRYTHING. We sat on the portico during a rain storm. Aahhhh. The only thing I wish is there was
Some way for the bathrooms to be cooled is all. We both love it there and will visit for pleasure - as it always is- or business whenever we can. Thanks to Annie and David for another beautiful experience!!
