Annually attracting 50,000 festival-goers from across the Northeastern U.S. and Canada, the Annual Syracuse Jazz Fest is "The Northeast's Largest Free Jazz Festival." The Festival hosts internationally and nationally known Jazz artists as well as regional and local jazz artists from the Central New York area. The event features noontime concerts in Hanover Square throughout the week, jam sessions, after work concerts, jazz brunches, Hotel Syracuse ballroom concerts and main stage day-long concerts on the weekend in Clinton Square, in the heart of downtown Syracuse. All events are free and open to the public and feature a wide range of jazz styles including BeBop, Mainstream, Brazilian, Big Band, Contemporary, Vocalese, Traditional and New Orleans Brass Band Jazz.
